Downtown Life Committee strives to make Saint Paul the most livable downtown in America by maintaining safety, building community, advocating for necessary amenities, and encouraging social connections and events.
Development Review Committee reviews downtown development projects to ensure benefit, sensitivity and compatibility with our downtown community and vitality.
Executive Monitors the big picture goals and long-term functioning of CapitolRiver Council by ensuring bylaw and legal compliance of all organizational activities and providing guidance and oversight for operations.
Environment, Public Realm & Movement Committee seeks to connect and beautify the downtown community by advocating for and supporting efforts to: provide safe and easy-to-use movement options, create a green and inspirational downtown streetscape, and promote techniques for environmental sustainability.
Small Business Committee serves the needs of the downtown small business owners by developing community and mutually beneficial cooperation among businesses with 50 or fewer employees.
Marketing/Fundraising Committee raises visibility of CapitolRiver Council and supports the work of committees. The Committee also assists with increasing the operational and service capacity of CapitolRiver Council by raising funds from multiple sources.
Skyway Committee Committee strives to improve all things Skyway and review applications for varriance to the skyway hours. Committee has 7 voting members, but all are welcome to participate in the discussions.
Other Volunteer Opportunities These are the behind-the-scenes volunteers that keep CapitolRiver Council running smoothly. Help with project specific work, including events planning, office clean-up and staffing informational table at events.
