EarthWeek Downtown 2009

EarthWeek is one of the CapitolRiver Council's biggest events of the year. We have a great line up again this year. Please read on below and see how residents, employees, businesses and visitors are getting involved.


Parks Clean Up
Saturday, April 18th, 9-11AM at the Mears Park Bandstand in Lowertown
Join downtown residents to help up clean up and beautify our city parks! Gloves, bags, rakes, and inspiration provided!

Wishes for the Sky
Sunday, April 19th, 1-4PM, Harriet Island Park
Go fly a kite or walk through the house of wind at this motivational event!

Earth Week Kick Off
Tuesday, April 21st, 12-1PM at the Lowry Theater
Bring your lunch to hear the Mayor's EarthWeek Proclamation and hear speakers from Waste Management, EcoLab and District Energy!

EarthWeek Skyway Fair
Wednesday, April 22nd, 11:00-1:30, Alliance Bank Center across from the food court
Stop by and visit different enviro-vendors, organization and agencies to learn more about what you can do to help our planet!
