CapitolRiver Council organizes several key events each year. Event planning volunteers produce and design fun and memorable events to bring the community together and provide an opportunity for our neighborhood to support the Council. The six events are listed below.
- EarthWeek – EarthWeek Downtown educates and increases awareness of environmental issues relating to downtown residents, workers, business and property owners. The skyways come alive with displays and presentations during the Skyway Fair. The neighborhood is beautified through community participation in our Adopt-a-Block clean-up and Parks clean-up. As always there will be volunteer celebrations and prizes
- Annual Meeting – The Annual Meeting is the annual business meeting of our general membership. The CapitolRiver Council holds its board of directors elections, recognizes the year’s accomplishments and honors its many volunteers at the event. The Annual Meeting is held in June.
- National Night Out – The CapitolRiver Council and the St. Paul Police Department bring you National Night Out. Join us and your neighbors in a block party to promote neighborhood safety. Help keep your neighborhood safe by knowing your neighbors and being involved with your community.
- Divine Secrets of the Downtown Sisterhood Fall Luncheon - Come and enjoy a delicious lunch, great presentations and a silent auction. Thank you to our past presenters Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Chico’s. This is always a sell out, so make sure you reserve early!
- First Friday - The First Friday community happy hour is held on the first Friday of each month at various bars and restaurants around downtown Saint Paul. The event goes from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
