The role of the committee is to bring together the officers of the full CRC board for the purpose of managing the council in the intervals between meetings of the board of directors.  The committee is subject to the board’s control and direction.  The officers include the chair, the chair-elect, the vice-chair for external relations, the vice-chair for internal relations, the secretary, and the treasurer.  The immediate past chair is an ex officio member of the executive committee.

The committee plans the monthly meetings of the board; prepares financial reporting, organizes strategic planning and work plan development, oversees relationships between the council and outside organizations and entities, and acts as principal resource and guide for the director.
