Downtown Retail Inventory
Over the the summer, CapitolRiver Council conducted an inventory of all retail businesses in downtown St. Paul with the hope of it serving as a catalyst for more work to strengthen commercial retail business in the downtown core. The inventory was completed by a graduate student from the University of Minnesota through the Neighborhood Planning for Community Revitalization Program.
The inventory includes a complete list of businesses with information about store hours, type of business, and how long the business has been located downtown. In addition to a comprehensive list, CapitolRiver Council surveyed existing businesses to ask them more specific questions about doing business downtown.
A complete report will be available in a few weeks. In the meantime, take a look at the results of the retail business survey and view maps illustrating information collected during the inventory.

One of the top three concerns of retailers was the lack of short term parking near their store. To view a map shows the location of stores with parking concerns and the existing meter parking and pay lots available Click here.
